default
Posted on Mon, 23 Jun 2014
Question: I has a massage and now might right hand has trouble with strength in rotating objects, and I can't move my pinkie finger towards my other fingers. I am otherwise healthy with no medical problems. Is this a compressed nerve and what can I do for it?

Brief Answer:
It will recover over time!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this weakness that you have reported. From the information you have reported, the cubital/ulnar nerve seem to have been injured. This leads to weakness of the small finger and the fourth finger as well.

Because this was caused by massage, you would be able to regain your muscle strength and movements with time. Try to do as much exercises as possible or see a therapist for help if you are not able all by yourself. There is no immediate fix to this and you would need to exercise patience before all returns to normal.

I hope this addresses your query fully. I wish you well and the best of and fastest recovery possible. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
