- Nerve compression
- Guillain-Barre syndrome
- Arm injury
- Muscle disorder
- Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis
- Myasthenia gravis
- Polymyositis
- Cerebral palsy

For workup of bilateral weakness of limbs, an appointment with a neurologist should be done. he will perform complete neurological examination and some investigations like MRI head & Spine, Nerve conduction studies, etc to confirm the cause. Treatment depends upon the results of tests.
