Brief Answer:
Needs work up and management

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking
I read your question and I understand your concern. weakness in left leg with history of high blood pressure and cholesterol and use of medication like statins at age of 80 could be age related asthenia, a side effect of these medicines specially statins causing this myalgias etc. It could be TIA ( Transient ischemic attack) as weakness in limbs on one side could be a ministroke. You did not have your check up in last two years. so i would suggest visit local hospital and let them run some labs and tests to find out the status and then manage accordingly.
I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and don't forget to close the discussion please.
Regards
Khan
