What Causes Weight Gain Post Surgical Abortion?

Question: I had a surgical abortion on 9 XXXXXXX i was 9 weeks gone. Since then I have rapidly gained weight despite eating well, exercising. My breasts are still swollen and huge as well.

I don't know why or how to stop the weight gain.

I read your question and i understand your concern.It is common to have weight gain after abortion because during pregnancy internal hormones progesterone and cortisol are increased to help in conserving food for the baby which otherwise subside after full term delivery but stay increased if pregnancy gets terminated in between. All you need now is to follow a diet plan and start exercise like in a gym or just a brisk walk daily 0of 35 to 50 mins a day.

Eat balanced diet, low carbohydrate high protein diet is advised. Plenty of fluids and fiber and drinking cold water up to 500 ml before every meal helps.

Sign up to an FDA approved weight loss program and no worries. The hormones will subside in a couple of months and your weight will get back to normal. You just continue with the diet and lifestyle preferences.
