Question: weight gain, back pain, smelly urine, upper abdominal bloating, rings don't fit. I am bipolar and am on a lot of meds.

This could be more than one issue.

The urine odor and back pain could be a bladder or kidney infection. I would get your urine checked and if positive, then be treated with an antibiotic.

The bloating and weight gain could be fluid overload. This is a sign of heart or kidney problems, so a full labwork panel and heart echocardiogram are indicated.

Please consult your Primary care physician and get yourself examined fully, and request the advised test/investigations and referrals so that proper treatment can be decided upon.

All the antipsychotics I've been on have caused this weight gain. I used to be a 6 now I am a 14. The weight won't go away. My thyroid is fine but I'm concerned about my liver since I've been on meds for 25 years.
