Question : Hello Doc. My cousin is 25 years old and had a skin itching problem. She thereby consulted a Skin specialist who recommended an injection (prescription attached). However after that a portion of skin on hand has turned white. We have also referred to other docs. I am attaching all the availableprescriptions. Can you please have a look and provide your opinion please.

Hello. Thank you for writing to us

I am dr.kakkar (dermatologist). I have gone through your query and i have noted your concern.
Unfortunately i have not recieved any image. I request you to kindly try to upload it again.
Most likely it was a steroid injection which can sometimes cause hypopigmentation if injected superficially or if some of the drug diffuses superficially after injection is withdrawn.

Hi.

Yes. She was given a steroid injection which has lead to this side effect.
This would go gradually. She may use tacrolimus 0.1% ointment (Tacroz forte), twice daily. To be rubbed in.
