default
Posted on Tue, 25 Aug 2015
Question: Hi, I have small white particles inside my vagina that have been there for quite some time, years I would say. I have had off and on burning and went to the doctor for it once where she examined it and suggested monistat. I then used a 3 day monistat insert. Now, a few months later I still have these white particles and very infrequent and random discomfort after urination. Thanks

Brief Answer:
drug treatment for extended duration.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to HCM.
I can understand your concerns.

Small white particles in vagina which are recurring may be due to yeast infection.

You have taken monistat insert but still your problem persists.

In such cases, I would recommend an extended drug treatment for 6 months. I would advise tablet diflucan orally once a week for six months.

Also, go for urine complete examination once to rule out chances of UTI.

Kindly discuss this with your doctor.
Hope this helps.
Take care.
