Question: My throat has had these white dots for months- antibiotics did not help. The white patch (back right of photo) seems to be getting bigger. Thoughts?

Brief Answer:
White dots due to infected material in holes inside tonsil.

Detailed Answer:
Hi thanks for the query.
I have seen your throat picture.
Tonsils have crypts ( holes ) in it when infection spreads into this holes , they get filled with purulent infected material presenting as white dots. These infected material causes repeated throat infection because antibiotic didn't reach their.
On one side you have bigger white dots. If you don't have any other complain like throat pain , pain during swallowing , fever except only white dots , i would advice you to use regular chlorhexidine mouthwash for 7-10 min. It will act locally & prevent repeated throat infection.
Hope i have answered your query . If you have any further questions i will be happy to help.

Thank you doctor. I appreciate your time in viewing my pics. I do have throat pain and difficulty swallowing.
I guess the white area in the close up pic does not concern you... That's been my big concern.
