Brief Answer:
it may be a fungal infection

Detailed Answer:
Dear sir

Please upload a picture of the patches and let us know what gum paste has the dentist advised.

From your symptoms it looks like you may be having a fungal infection, most probably candida,

Please dont worry as this is a very mild infection and easily treated by applying topical antifungal drugs like clotrimazole.

Please send the picture and the drug information.

Thanks

Brief Answer:
looks like fungal infection

Detailed Answer:
Hello

I have seen the pictures you have sent and from them it looks like a fungal infection.

Please continue to use the gum paste[most likely to be either clotrimazole or nystatin] as it takes 2-3 weeks for the infection to subside.

Please keep good oral hygeine and avoid sugary foods and smoking.

Take care

Brief Answer:
please continue the candid paste

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Candid paste is correct drug and you may have to use it for 2-3 weeks. The infection is generally persistent and requires prolonged treatment.

I would also like you to meet your dentist again, as sometimes some materials in dental fillings can predispose to the fungal infection.

Another reason may be deranged blood sugars and i would like you to test your blood sugars too.

Get well soon

Brief Answer:
Don't take the antibiotic

Detailed Answer:
hello

please don't take the antibiotic as it is of no use and may even increase the fungal infection

you can take the tablet af400 as even if prescribe it in cases of persistent fungal infection.

please have patience as the infection is difficult to get rid off and can take several weeks

please continue to apply the candid ointment and also try to meet your dentist

avoid hot and spicy food as it may cause burning sensation.

take care
