What Causes White Stool Post Intake Of Antacid For Diarrhea?

Question: Hi, I had a lot of diarrea Saturday thur Sunday night, and also took white antacids too, now my poop is white, is this normal?

I read your question and i understand your concern. Diarrhea from the last few days with altered stool color to white is not normal for sure. It is likely a stomach flu also called gastroenteritis. If there is no yellowish discoloration or abdomen pain or vomiting then no worries. White / clay colored stools some times may point towards gall bladder issues.

But right now, all you need to do is continue taking pepto and imodium and take BRAT diet ( Banana, rice, applesauce and toast) green tea and pomegranate juices for the relief and till full recovery. Also get evaluated and have some work up like stool exam, blood work up to sort out other possibilities.
