Question: I had my two lower teeth on the left removed (wisdom).. There was no pain nor swelling post the procedure. But now there is some whitish yellow substance around the gum extended tot the cheek area.. Still no pain nor swelling. I have mild fever not sure if it is due to this procedure or due to climate change while traveling from delhi to Mumbai. Please advise.

Brief Answer: You can wait for some time. Detailed Answer: I have read your history. I think it can be healing tissue or fibrosis which appear white substance . So if there is no local pain or swelling, single fever spike can be ignored. I would suggest you to keep a watch over your gum and if at all you develop any pain and swelling, you should meet your dentist. Till that time, you can use chlorhexidine mouth gargle. Also avoid very cool substance like cold drink. If any fever persist, with out pain and swelling at gum, please check other site like chest, urine for infection. Let me know if you want to ask any thing else.
