Question: I have a question ... I had a gerd flair up over a week ago .... And I was prescribed Aciphex & Prescription Pecid .... Since I have been on these my reflux is all but gone .... But my stool has changed color to a yellowish brown ... Lighter colored stool ... Is this a result of my change on diet and the reflux medications ?

Brief Answer: Normal variation of stool color... Detailed Answer: Hi, There are many normal variations of stool color. Having yellowish brown stool falls under normal variations. It might be due to changes in your diet partially. Other explanation could be stabilized stomach pH (no more too much acidic) due to medications use. All the best!
