Hi
Welcome to healthcaremagic
Yellow skin means that there is yellowish discolouration of the skin. It can occur due to jaundice or carotenaemia.
In jaundice yellow discolouration is due to bilirubin.
In carotenaemia it is due to carotene and is seen in food faddists who overindulge in oranges and carrots. Increased yellowness is also seen in persons with hyperlipidaemia, diabetes, liver disease and hypothyroidism.
