Brief Answer:
Certain pigments are responsible for the color

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on Health Care Magic.

A child passing urine at regular intervals indicates the adequacy of feeds. Its a good sign. Urine contains a substance called urobilinogen which on exposure to air gets converted to urobilin which gives the urine its yellow color. You need not worry about it. Just continue breast feeding and things should be fine.

The stool contains stercobilinogen which gets converted to syercobilin that colors the stool yellow.

Brief Answer:
You need not worry

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back.
* Rubbing eyes is not a sign of infection. No need to worry.
* The charger under head would not be the cause of any harm.
* Head holding should be achieved by 4 months of age, sitting on own by 8 months and standing on own by 12 months.
* Mother's breast milk is the best thing to stimulate brain development. Alongside, constantly interact with your baby. No external supplement will help.

Brief Answer:
Just continue breast feeding. Nothing else needs to be done.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back.

A child of this age can pass stool 10 times a day or once in 10 days. Both are equally normal and not a reason for concern. Unless the stool is hard and pellet like, nothing needs to be done. Just continue to give breast feeding and things should be fine. You can apply some vaseline or olive oil at the anal opening.

Brief Answer:
You are talking about the anterior fontanelle.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back.

The soft spot that you mention, is called anterior fontanelle and there is another at the back of head and that is called posterior fontanelle. The fontanelle at the top of the head (anterior fontanelle) usually closes between 7 - 19 months while the fontanelle in the back of the head (posterior fontanelle) usually closes by the time an infant is 1 - 2 months old.

The reddishness of the anal region could be due to excoriation due to excessive moisture which gets trapped within the nappies. The area needs to be kept dry. You may apply Siloderm Mixi (various other formulations are available for nappy rash). As such any diaper is fine and I would not like to specify any brand but keep in mind that use of diapers may predispose to nappy rashes as mentioned.
