Question: Having severe pain in right side of head behind ear after doing jumping jacks and getting heart rate up. What could that be?

After going through the medical details provided by you I understand your concern and would like to tell you that these type of symptoms usually happens in those individuals whom activity levels are less and when they expose themselves to strenuous activities once in a while muscle cramps occur which causes pain.

Increase in heart rate is a normal physiological phenomenon so as to meet the increased metabolic demands during exercise.

For pain you can take a simple analgesic or apply a local spray.
