                                            Possible Obstructive Rhinosinusitis
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I can certainly understand your concern.
I have worked through your attached query in detail.
As per your symptoms, the possibility of an Obstructive Rhinosinusitis is very high.
The obstruction can lie at the level of the nose or even high up. This can cause disturbances in ventilation of sir and fluids.
With regards to eye symptoms like blurriness, the possibility of ethmoidal sinus (which lies closer to the root of the nose on both sides, nearer to the eyes) involvement is high. Hence the spread of Infection to the eye is very common that can result in such visual symptoms.
It's advisable to consider an HRCT SCAN OF PARANASAL SINUSES an imaging procedure to identify and confirm these changes.
Consultation with an expert Otolaryngologist is mandatory.
Review with reports to determine further course of action.
I generally prescribe a short course of oral /topical antibiotics to my patients with such symptoms. Please check with your physician if he shares my view and if can prescribe these medications/tests to you.
Regards,
Dr. Suresh Heijebu, General & Family Physician
