Question : Hello, I've noticed for the past year or so that I've been getting this painful rash in my buttcrack/butthole area when I have my period. I wear pads, so I'm not sure if it's a moisture thing, but the rash gets pretty painful. I've tried putting coconut oil on the affected area, which doesn't help too much. I've also tried to wear longer pads, with no help. I'm just trying to figure out what else I can do.
Brief Answer:
Possibility of Intertrigo
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Most likely you have Intertrigo which is inflammation of the body folds. Moisture and friction from rubbing play a major role in inflammation. I suggest you to use an antifungal dusting powder e.g clotrimazole dusting powder, regularly in the folds, specially around menses which would keep the folds dry.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if you need any more assistance.
