Question : I’m having symptoms of POTS. My heart races when I stand. Then returns to normal. What could be the cause?

POTS or Paroxysmal orthostatic tachycardia syndrome is commonly seen in young individuals and is usually mild and harmless.

Common causes includes

1. Low blood volume due to inadequate intake of water.

2. Some recent viral illness or other medical issue.

3. Individuals with some autoimmune disease.
