Question : dear Doc , My wife stool examination gave eggs of hookworm , Doc prescribed Zentel for her , she is also taking VSL , and NEXTPRO for her earlier Dysentery for her gestro dignosis, Now her stool color is dark Clay like after taking Zentek for 3 days , what could be the reason ? any internal bleeding / ulcers in Intestine ?

Clay coloured stool could be due to Zentel.
Hook worm infestation causes anaemia by loss of.blood.
Please take appropriate prescription as advised by your doctor.
The colour of the stool is not due to Intestinal involvement
It could be due to Zentel or Hookworm infection itself.
Nothing to worry.
