Question : Male 35 yrs old had vomiting and diarrhea Thursday went to urgent care I was very dehydrated kidneys a 4 , blood in urine and proteins went to hospital by ambulance. 2 1/2 days in hospital everything back in range I've been home for two days I am eating a little no more vomiting but still diarrhea which I do have because of ulcerative colitis but I'm exhausted, is this normal while I'm recovering? YYYY@YYYY

Yes, absolutely normal drink lots of Electral and ORS.

Hello,

Loose motion and vomiting causes body to lose various electrolyte like sodium and potassium which causes fatigue lassitude malaise etc.

It's absolutely normal during recovery.

Rx

Drink lots of Electral and Oral rehydration solution. As electrolyte levels would be repleted you would be fine.
