Question : Hello 48 ur old women having jaw pain that comes and goes although if I press it I feel tenderness right under the connecting bone sometime both sides mostly left side started last night any suggestions does this sound like tmj

Well as the pain started last night, so immediately it can't be said that it is TMJ.

But to have a better understanding please place your finger on the exact location of pain and send it to me.

Also please answer the following questions.

Is the pain present on opening and closing the jaw or it is always present?

Is there any clicking sound present?

Is there any swelling present at the site of pain?

Well the pain comes and goes in the spot indicated
When I touch the spot I uploaded it hurts
I do have clicking and have been told I grind my teeth and have tmj is the past

From the explanation it can be TMJ grinding of teeth can contribute to TMJ and clicking sound can be due to TMJ..
