Question : Hi I want to report about the pain which originated last night in my left foot below the ankle I did not hit anywhere nothing happened but all of a sudden around midnight 12-12.30 just sitting on the sofa and I developed this pain. this morning its kind of aggravated a lot and now it is around 7 PM time and the pain has increased significantly. Im not able to keep my foot below. need some help around it

Hi,

I went through the details of your post and based on what I understand you developed pain on the left heel that started overnight without any noticeable injury. I assume you have never suffered from similar pain in the past, but if you have do let me know.

There can be a few causes of such pain including plantar fascitis. However, without an opportunity to physically examine the area it is difficult to predict the cause. If you are able to bear weight on the affected leg and if you are able to walk around, the chances it could be a serious problem are less likely. You can try over the counter pain killers such as tab zerodol SP twice daily after food along with topical pain spray (volini spray) and heat application.

You should observe the progress of pain and for the development of swelling on the affected area. If the pain worsens despite using the aforementioned medications or if you notice swelling, a physical examination is mandatory.
