Question: 3 days back i gave blood sample for blood test after that i got rash at the sample collection site and it's painful and rash is increasing day by day

Hello,

Whenever the blood is drawn, a small hollow needle is inserted through the skin to access a vein. This procedure temporarily damages the blood vessel wall and the outermost layer of skin.

Bruising occurs when blood from the damaged vein leaks out and settles under the skin. You can apply heparin ointment to the site and you can also apply ice pack to reduce the pain.

It will disappear within 10 to 12 days. Still if it persists or hurts you more then kindly consult with your physician.
