Question : After several rounds of golf my shoulder began to acne, started out with deep pain in the shoulder, blister and numb thumb, with a skin sensation that wasn't quite burning nor non touchable but close, around shoulder extending to rib cage. Then next day a rash that looks like cirrhosis on the outer part of my shoulder above my bicep. I never get rashes. The day prior to my golf I had deep tissue work done in the same area and was feeling good. The night before I worked with High powered electricity for many hours. I felt stiff as usual at the beginning of my round and by the end of the round I was very loose and spanking the ball at my maximum.

Brief Answer:
Looks like shingles, start antiviral medicines

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

It looks like shingles. You need to take a course of antiviral medication.

If I was your treating doctor I would recommend you to take tablet Valacyclovir thrice daily for 7 days. Antivirals are prescription drugs and you need to see the doctor in person to get them.

Hope I have answered your query.

Thank you.
