Hi,

I would not advise an 83 yr old to stay at home without a medical examination after three bloody bowel movements. It can prove sometimes obvious and ominous. So all examinations including proctoscopy, per rectal, Ultrasound scan and blood tests to prove we are not missing some serious illness.

So please see at the urgent care or seek immediate appointment with primary care doctor.
