Question : Hi, can I answer your health question? Please type your question here...
I can't get an appointment for my 13 year old daughter until next Friday at my gp.
She has a history of intermittently being sick in the mornings although less frequently over the last few weeks. The gp when we went said it was nothing to worry about.
However it still happens occasionally and she has started having dizzy spells almost to the point of passing out in school and at home. She also is very very tired and falls asleep all the time.
All this from a robust healthy 13 year old who previously was almost never ever ill.
Should I be pushing for a more urgent appointment? She says she thinks she's going to die and as if she has something very wrong with her which is most unlike her.

                                    Brief Answer:
If possible, let her be seen earlier
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
If possible that she can be seen earlier, since she feels so unwell and normally does not complain or is generally ill.
It is possible that it may be one of the more common viral illnesses, this can cause dizziness and excess fatigue but she can be assessed to make sure this is the case.
if the doctors suspect that it is a viral illness then she would most likely be advised to rest, use extra fluids along with any symptomatic meds (meds to treat specific symptoms as they occur)
I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
