Question : im currently on steriods 20 mg 3 times a day for hashimoto. about 30nmins before my nexy dose my get weak, and im extremely tired. sometimes i even get numness in my face, and arms. what could causr this. i go see a nero next week for the neurological and memory loss issues I have been having steroid seem to be helping a little but they seem to make me extremely tired

Hello,

Steroids are used in cases of myxedema (a state of extreme low thyroid gland function), hormone replacement therapy is the treatment of choice for Hashimoto's thyroiditis.

If you are feeling tired, Levothyroxine should be used, or if you use it, the dosage and distribution of 24 hours should be reviewed.

Since you noticed that steroids are helping a little, and you feel fatigued 30 minutes before the next dose, you can discuss with your Doctor about taking the same dose of steroids four times a day.
