Question : I had a medical abortion recently, I sort of developed severe pains and admitted to the hospital. There the doctors said it was an incomplete abortion and used surgical means to take out the remaining tissues. But for the past week, my nipples have become very itchy, what is wrong with me? And how do I treat it?

Hello,

Itchy nipples after a surgical abortion could be due to dry skin caused by either hormonal imbalance, fungal infection, some skin problem or side effects of medicines. Apply Vaseline or diaper rash cream and it should work. If itching is severe then see a dermatologist.
