Question : My granddaughter is 26 years old she is passing out lately after having a fertility test where they injected dye into her tubes and uterus. these tests were done last week Friday and she started passing out last Wednesday. The doctors in the ER and the doctor who ordered the test said there is no way the test has caused her passing out. She also vomits and last night she screamed that her head was killing her.
The doctors here are saying it is caused by stress but we just have to can't help with a diagnosis

Brief Answer:
Brain involvement needs to be excluded first.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
In my opinion, before to live the culprit to stress, brain involvement should be considered and excluded first.
There may be conditions that showed the symptoms simultaneously with the dye test such brain tumors (since there is infertility issue, conditions like pituitary adenoma should be excluded).
In rare cases after contrast injection stroke may develop as well.
I think that a brain MRI could give valuable information even if it results negative.
This way we can say that stress is the culprit.
