What Could Cause Pain In The Palm Radiating To The Thumb And Calf Muscle Pain While Having Hypothyroidism And High Cholesterol?

Question: Hello Doctor,
My mom is 59 years old. She is diabetic, has high cholesterol and had a high thyroid situation. She went through hysterectomy in Sep 2017 - and she was advised to continue Inderal 10 and Neo-Mercazole 10 for a while. This resulted in hypo thyroid situation and she stopped these medication approx. 3 weeks ago.
Currently for the past week, she is complaining of pain on her left palm - currently moved to left thumb. Her left calf muscle had a bit of pain sensation once in a while also. Regular balm / pain relief oil, etc. did not help so far. Could you please advise what can be done?
Let me know if you need any further details.

Calf pain may be due to neuropathy or vitamin D deficiency.
Get examined by a neurologist.
Get a nerve conduction testing done.
Get vitamin D, vitamin B 12 levels.
Gabapentin, pregabalin or amitriptyline can be used for pain.
