Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome to 'Ask a Doctor' service. I have read your query. I have concluded that you most probably have fungal infection of the groin and thighs areas, also called tinea cruris.
I would like to suggest as follow:
- Cap Itraconazole twice a day
- Tab Cetirizine twice a day
- Terbinafine cream - Apply twice a day on affected areas
- Sitz bath. Sit in a tub filled with warm water mixed with 10 drops of Dettol liquid for 10 minutes, while bathing
- Keep the area dry. Wetness after bath and perspiration should dried
- Improve the immunity by taking vitamins and minerals containing tablets and food, and through exercise
- Keep up your hygiene
The medicines I have suggested may be taken after getting prescription from your doctor or dermatologist. The treatment may be taken for two weeks and may be repeated if the relapse occurs. But, continue to have good immunity and good hygiene to prevent the the relapse.
Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions, you are welcome yo write to me.
Regards,
Dr. Ilyas Patel
