Hi

Thanks for the query

The white spots in the throat could be the pus pointing granulations on the posterior pharyngeal wall (back of the throat).

Whenever there is inflammation in the throat following acid reflux from the stomach into the throat or allergy. The lymphoid follicles present in the posterior pharyngeal wall get enlarged. If the assault continues with incomplete resolution of the symptoms, then the dead cells get accumulated and expelled. The accumulation of these dead cells is seen as white spots on the follicles.

Do not worry! This will clear off once the causative factor is taken care of.

My advice to you is to drink plenty of warm water; avoid excessive coffee/tea/spicy food/chilled food and beverages/smoking if any.

Hope I have answered your query; I will be available for the follow-up queries.
