Brief Answer:
He is going down the percentiles

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

I think the baby is not gaining enough weight as per his age. He should be 4.3 kg on 26th day. Not a big difference though. Some tips to maintain weight at same percentile:
- Mother and child stay together as much as possible
- Mother feeds him from both breasts every time until he is full
- Feeding happens every 2-3 hours
- Mother takes high calorie foods
- monitor baby weight regularly at home without any clothes or minimal clothes on. Take a print of growth chart for weight for age from WHO website and mark baby's weight on that chart

Lactating mother needs frequent and high calorie foods and she must be eating for 2 people. More the calories she takes, healthier is the baby. Breast milk is derived from the nutrition she takes and if she doesnot take enough nutrition then, breast milk will be derived from her body fat reserves. She can become weak and malnourished as a process and baby will also suffer the same.

Diet for lactating mother can be whatever she wants to eat. She will want that food that is needed for adequate nutrition for her body.
My suggestions:
-add more of ghee, butter, cheese in her foods
- milk intake more
- take more of cookies, pastries, cakes, pinni, sweets, burger, pizza etc as these have more calories
- Sour foods can be avoided though lemon juice is good

Let me know if I can assist you further.
