Brief Answer:
treatment of angioedema before surgery

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

If your angioedema is from allergic cause you should try to evitate the suspected allergen. Also you can use anti histamines such citerizinencan help.

Also prednisone and adrenaline shots can help and four weeks is enough time for allergic angioedema to subside.
If you have hereditary angioedema caused by deficiency of C1 inhibitor, surgery can be a trigger for edema episodes. Current guidelines recommend preoperative prophylaxis with C1-INH or attenuated androgens in patients with HAE undergoing surgery.
