Brief answer....explained below
Detailed answer....
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
I have read your query and understand your concern,
Your SGPT levels are definitely very high and it denotes that some kind of liver injury is definitely there. It however doesn't tell you about the cause for it.
There are various reasons for high SGPT levels and there is a long list of that like....
Regular alcohol consumption, excessive use of pain killers, using various herbal supplements, diabetes, obesity, high cholesterol levels, infection with various types of hepatitis etc.
What you need is identification of cause and subsequent removal or treatment of cause.
There is nothing to worry about it but it can't be ignored.
You must consult a gastroenterologist for proper evaluation and management of your situation.
I hope it helps, however you are most welcome to revert to me or any further query.
Best of luck
Thanks

Hello,
Your reply clearly tells that your high SGPT has following causes....
Uncontrolled diabetes
High cholesterol levels
Obesity
Use of alcohol
I would advise you to change your lifestyle which wold include...
Calorie restriction for reduction of weight
Quitting sugar,colas and fast foods
Regular aerobic exercises for 40-45 minutes a day
Quitting alcohol completely
More use of fresh fruits, green vegetables and nuts like almonds walnuts etc
Drinking plenty of water
Doing yoga,mediation etc
Consulting a physician for prescription of medicines for diabetes and cholesterol .
Get your SGPT repeated after 6 weeks and if there is no change, then you can consult a gastroenterologist, however at the moment just take medications and change your lifestyle.
No need for gastroenterologist at the moment since we have the causes in front of us.
Thanks
