What Do Absence Of Periods And Negative Pregnancy Result Indicate?

I am planning for a child. Last month I missed my periods and thought that I have got some good news to share. But when I did a HCG test, it was negative. I repeated the test after 15 days, still negative. It was almost two months, after which, I got my periods. I don't know what happened.
My question is, is this normal? I have no irregular period history. Just wanted to confirm that everything is normal, before I conceive.
Please advice.
It is a normal variation.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
The delay in periods that you had last time can happen when you are too anxious to conceive and are mentally prepared for a pregnancy. The periods do get delayed under such circumstances due to mild hormonal changes in the body.
This is just a normal variation. You only need to avoid stress and try to do some mind and body relaxation exercises like deep breathing exercises.
This is not likely to affect your chances of conception if this does not happen again. In case it is recurrent then hormonal therapy is needed to regularize the periods.
Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
Wishing you good health.

A small query, knowing that age is not by my side, will it be alright to plan now and not wait for another year..
Better to plan now.
Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
It is better to plan now for a baby and not to wait for another year. Earlier the better.
Hope my answer is helpful.
