Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome and thanks for your query.
I understand your concern.
Check his temperature regularly as there is a chance that he may be developing a tick bite fever ( Rocky mountain spotted fever). It usually takes up to 10 days after the tick bite and symptoms include muscular pain, joint pains, abdominal pain, nausea and diarrhoea in addition to the fever and rash.
On the other hand he may be having a viral fever or a viral diarrhea as the cause of his symptoms.
If his symptoms persist, it would be good to have him examined by a doctor and treated appropriately.

would the rash be only at the site of the bite, or would it be over his body?

Brief Answer:
both

Detailed Answer:
There would be a target like rash at the site of the bite and there would be red spots to blotches rash over different parts of the body. This generalised rash usually occurs after 2-4 days after the start of the fever.
