Detailed Answer:
Hi,
To be very honest very little data is there to say something for sure but let me explain it a little.
There are a lot of causes for bibasal changes in lungs. The term bibasal changes means that there are some X-ray abnormalities at the bases of both the lungs. Now there may be many many reasons for such changes like infection, bacterial but also viral can do this.
Other possible causes may include chronic lung diseases like fibrosis of the lungs (called ILD ) may be with drugs , skin or joint diseases. Some times causes related to heart ma be causing changes in the bases of the lungs.
So with this limited data that you provided it's very hard to say what would be the possible cause. In such cases we generally do CT of chest (called HRCT) and some blood tests .
Just want to know if you have any known medical illness?
or you have any cough fever or shortness of breath ? and if yes since how long?
Also if you could share the X-ray with us.
I am looking forward for some more details from you.
Regards,
Dr. Rahman
