Question : hello doctor,

I am 9 weeks pregnant, nowadays I am seeing some brown black spots below my lips, it has increased a lot that it has almost reached my chin. my skin has become so dry and getting worse day by day. started having some acne too. does it relates to my pregnancy? what can be done for this?

Hi,

I understand your concerns.

These spots are due to hormonal changes that occur in pregnancy. This is difficult to stop and is part of pregnancy process. These will stop as pregnancy advances.

I dont recommend any medicines for these at this stage as the baby is small and there is risk to baby for using these medicines.
