Brief Answer:
Information and a question

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX

Regarding the risks from oral sex, if you have not had any abnormal symptoms such as cold sores on your mouth or blisters on the penis, then you can consider yourself ok.

Now about the situation with your computer, I don't know what your reason for going tot he retina specialist is. Do you have some chronic health problem with your eyes?

Brief Answer:
OK

Detailed Answer:
Do you mean should you go for an HIV test because of the history of oral sex? No, you are safe, and I believe you have had negative HIV tests since then anyway. So no worries.

Noted about the red gums, but this is not a sign of HIV or Herpes. Again, you are ok.

It is not a problem to have your face right near the computer screen for a brief amount of time. No worries there either.

Brief Answer:
I phone won't affect your eye.

Detailed Answer:
Hi-

No the I phone should not cause problems with your eye even though it's dilated. And the medicine that dilated your pupils should wear off soon.

How about the HIV test
doctor
Answered by Dr. Bonnie Berger-Durnbaugh (6 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
No HIV test needed.

Detailed Answer:
There is no chance you would have contracted HIV from being near or brushing against or other casual contact even if she had HIV. It requires sexual contact or contact with fresh blood or fresh bodily secretions. So no worries here. No need for an HIV test from this situation.

Brief Answer:
Thoughts on this.

Detailed Answer: XXXXXXX these repeated thoughts that you might have HIV may be obsessive and it's possible that you have some symptoms of OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder). There is medicine that may help. Some of the SSRI antidepressant class of medicine, used in a higher dose than for depression, can help OCD. You start at a lower dose and work up gradually. It can give you some relief from your mind keeping you worried about HIV.

doctor
Answered by Dr. Bonnie Berger-Durnbaugh (36 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
I would not worry based on this photo.

Detailed Answer:
The picture is blurry but I don't see any uncapped needles and even if there were, they would not have stuck you on their own.

No, I would not worry about this photo.

And yes, you are safe from HIV, but I think your mind is making you suffer by repeatedly thinking on and worrying that something will give you HIV.

Think about people who work with HIV patients, such as in a clinic or hospital, but they don't get HIV.

And those who do get HIV nowadays often live fairly normal lives. One of the stars of the musical "Hamilton" has been HIV positive for over 10 years and it hasn't stopped him from having an active, productive, successful life. Years ago, when I was a resident doctor, HIV was a death sentence. It isn't anymore.

Brief Answer:
OK

Detailed Answer:
You can go ahead and take another photo if that will make you feel calmer, but I want to remind you that getting HIV from casual contact doesn't happen.

Brief Answer:
Yes, I looked at the photo.

Detailed Answer:
What is it you are looking at in this photo that is making you concerned? I don't see any situation here that looks concerning.

Brief Answer:
Ok

Detailed Answer:
That is what I was referring to when I wrote that I don't see any uncapped or open needles. I wouldn't worry about that. I think you are fine.
