Brief Answer:
Likely due to perimenopausal period

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Delayed periods can be due to pregnancy, stress, hormonal disturbances or due to perimenopausal period.
Since you had no intercourse in last 2.5 months, then the chances of pregnancy are ruled out.
The cause of delayed periods are most likely due to perimenopausal period.
Other causes like hypothyroidism and hyperprolactinemia should be ruled out by appropriate investigations.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
