Posted on Mon, 29 Jun 2015
Question: I would like to get a good detailed answer. I had unprotected anal sex about 5 or 4 weeks ago. My boyfriend didn't cum, but his penis did slip and touched my vagina but never went in. My period is 12 days late. I always had protected vaginal sex. For some reason i had really bad cramps today, but no period at all. I have weakness in my knees. I took 3 pregnancy test, all were negative. Am i stressing myself too much? Please help.

Brief Answer:
Not due to pregnancy.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
Anal sex with just brushing of penis on the vaginal opening cannot cause a pregnancy. If you have had a protected sex even then the pregnancy is not likely. All the three negative pregnancy tests further confirm this.
The delay in periods is due to stress and anxiety. It can be due to recent traveling or change in dietary habits or a mild hormonal imbalance.
The bad cramps that you had can be related to an intestinal infection. It is best to wait for a few more days to get the periods naturally or get hormonal tablets prescribed from your gynecologist for a withdrawal bleeding.
Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
Wishing you good health.

Thank you very much. I was also wondering what is normal amount of time between periods? I tend to stay 35 - 36 days and they last about 7 days. My last period was april 25 trough May 1st. And i still haven't got one. There's no chance im pregnant, but i do get cramps and they hurt, i take 2 pills of midol and that helps me. About two months ago i did change my diet to 100% healthy. I had nothing thats bad for me. I reraly have sex, but when i do it hurts some for a minute. I only had one sex parthner. We both have been tested and we are both clean and i never had unprotected vaginal sex. Also i did stress a lot recently. And i have trouble sleeping, could that cause my period to come late?
Thank you for your help
