Question : I had cellulitis recently and finished a ten-day course of doxicycline four days ago. My foot continues to be swollen and red and is now very itchy.

Hi, kindly consult the dermatologist for the perfect diagnosis and proper treatment. Heavy antibiotic,antihistaminics and antiinflammatory drugs may be taken under guidance of dermatologist...ok

I was hoping to avoid heavier antibiotics because the doxicycline caused nausea and vomiting towards the end of the course. I was diagnosed by my GP, so will try the dermatologist route.
