What Do Flashes Of Light In Peripheral Vision Indicate?

default
Posted on Mon, 12 Oct 2015
Question: I'm concerned i may have a retinal tear. ...i had flashes of light in my peripheral vision and a sudden dramatic increase in floaters about 6 hours ago. The floaters were like a giant ink blob. ....after the initial onset - my vision is foggy. ...this is only in one eye. The fogginess could be tinny floaters in my entire vision. That is what it seems to be when i squint my eye.

I slept for a few hours. ..it 2:30 am here. ..and the fogginess, floaters, and peripheral floaters are all occurring. ..

Brief Answer:
floaters

Detailed Answer:
My dear,
Thanks for sending your query to us .
You have to get hold of a retina specialist and a retinal expert will be available just now is doubtful.
Till you get an appointment rest is the mainstay of treatment. There is a tear with a small hemorrhage which appears to you as bunch of floaters. This is to be investigated and managed.
Any further query in this regard, please do get back to me.
