Brief Answer:

Cervical disc prolapse can be the possible reason

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

I would recommend that you get a CT scan of the cervical spine (neck vertebrae) to exclude disc prolapse which could be the reason if your symptoms due to nerve root compression.

Another possible cause is neuritis which could be due to vitamin B 12 deficiency. This can be diagnosed by a blood test for vitamin B-12 levels and can simply be treated by multivitamin supplements.

Hope I have answered your query.

Take care
