Posted on Fri, 12 Sep 2014
Question: I four lumps under the skin surface. I have no infections confirmed by doctor. I took a cbc blood test and had a cat done on it. It is normal. According to my doctors (pcp and gyn) I am a healthy 26 year old. Just wondering how can I make it go away with surgery. Warm compress hasn't worked.

Brief Answer:
They are Lipomas

Detailed Answer:
Hi
As per your description, they look like Lipomas.
They are present just beneath the skin and soft to firm on touch.
There is no medical treatment for this.
Warm compresses doesn't help.
If you want to know the diagnosis before surgery, FNAC ( Fine Needle aspiration Cytology ) has to be done. Routine blood tests will not confirm the diagnosis.
Please consult your Surgeon and get checked.
If it is Lipoma clinically, get them excised by surgery under local anaesthesia.
Nothing to worry.
If you have any queries, I will clarify further.
Wish you good health.
Regards.
