Brief Answer:
Observation / a few investigations

Detailed Answer:
Hi friend
Welcome to Health Care Magic

The BP is slightly high… It could be a natural progression with age, from stiffness of arteries / it may be from psychological stress? Lab test for kidney function and electrolytes – especially – potassium is generally done. At times an ultrasound of Kidneys is also done to rule out any cause for the raise.

If it is persistently high, your doctor may add a second drug (diuretic like thiazide of calcium blocker like amlodipine and so on) / or increase the dose of present drug.

Normal CT and Stress test are reassuring. The pain is not likely to be from the heart / probably chest wall muscle pain. If the pain persists or is progressing, you may repeat the TMT (Treadmill Exercise ECG) – more for reassurance and ruling out

Good luck
God bless you

Brief Answer:
All well / keep following up with your doctor

Detailed Answer:
Hi

The sonography is within limits and is no cause for concern
Normal CT ( & calcium score) excludes any significant coronary artery disease
T wave changes are transient and nonspecific

The episode could be explained by stress

If the BP is in range valzar 40 is OK [the maximum dose is up to 320 mg]

     CT angio is non-invasive study for the anatomy (structure) of blood vessels of the heart…to ‘see’ the block, if any – and its location, extent, severity and so on. A negative study rules out obstruction.            Calcium scoring is gives the amount of calcium build up in the arteries.. it is an indirect marker for the disease (atherosclerosis)... it correlates with severity / 0-1 means : no calcification (extremely low likelihood of disease);

Keep your weight to normal / even a little less

Quit smoking, if you are a smoker

Relax. Relaxation exercises, bio-feed-back technics, and yoga may help

Do regular EXERCISE – say walking or jogging - 30 minutes a day / at least 5 days in a week. Isometric exercise (like bull worker) is bad.

Healthy FOOD is good in the long run.
Reduce salt intake… That is the best known measure to reduce the pressure. / Avoid highly salted items like pickles, chips, preserved products and junk food / Avoid adding salt on dining table... Reduce salt in cooking [There is small amount in most foods]
Avoid saturated fats – coconut oil, palm oil, butter, ghee, full cream milk...Avoid junk foods in particular / Change to Poly-un-saturated oil – like sun flower oil. / Include Mono-un-saturated oil – Olive oil… these are good , especially for cholesterol, but preferable for everybody…

Keep following up with your doctor

Brief Answer:
BP is a risk factor / needs control

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Tiredness is probably from stress (at work?)
Relaxation techniques to reduce stress can help

The dose of pressure medicine has to be tailored to every individual – we should aim for 130/80
One needs follow up to achieve the goal

There is no pill without side effect. Even paracetamol has side effects. But most of the drugs are tested and proved to have superior beneficial effects that far outweigh any side effect.
Uncontrolled BP is a silent killer – the target organs are the heart, eyes, kidneys and brain. It is a major risk factor for heart attack, can cause damage the blood vessels.
