Thank you so much for your answer.

You dont need medicines
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX
Thanks for your query.
I have read you query and I understand your concerns about TSH levels.
Following is my reply:
1) TSH levels more than 5 needs to be treated with medicines and 2.73 is well within normal limits.
2) 2.5 cutoff what you saw on internet is not come into practice and few groups are advocating it.
3) We have seen many women delivering babies with healthy brains with TSH upto 5 and it is practice not to give unnecessary medicines for levels less than 5 as medicines themselves have certain side effects.
4) As of now you don't need medicines and your baby is healthy. Don't worry about it.
5) It is unlikely to get false positive result due to stress.
I hope I answered you query and addressed your concerns.
Let me know if you wish to ask any further questions. I will be glad to help you.
Regards,
Dr. Mahesh Koregol.
I thank you kindly for putting me at ease.
I do not have any symptoms of hypothyroidism as indicated on websites.
Thanks again! :)
