Brief Answer:
Visit treating physician. Need further evaluation.

Detailed Answer:
hi.
thanks for posting at HCM.
noticed your blood test results (probably fasting values).

1. glucose: 117 indicates glucose intolerance.
you might need to repeat the fasting blood glucose test OR have a Oral Glucose Tolerance Test(OGTT)

2. increased AST and ALT levels indicate hepatitis.
common causes of hepatitis include viruses, alcohol and fatty liver disease.
Blood test advised: HBsAg, antiHCV.
in addition: abdomen ultrasound examination.

3. increased cholestrol levels require diet modification and weight loss if overweight.

meanwhile ; until waiting appointment with treating physician:
Low fat or fat free diet.
no alcohol.
no red meat and junk food.
avoid beverages.
fresh lemon juice intake
green vegetables ingestion

hope to answer your concern.
any further questions are welcomed.

regards,
Dr Tayyab Malik

Thank you, can increased AST and ALT levels be due to my use of topical cortisone for psoriarsis? I have been using this for over 30 years to help with this condition.

Brief Answer:
Topical cortisone usually does NOT effect liver enzymes

Detailed Answer:
hi.

thanks for getting back to me.
to the best of my knowledge, "topical" cortisone does not cause an increase in the AST and/or ALT. Hence, other causes should be investigated as outlined in previous answer.
