Brief Answer:
Mucous retention cysts are more common.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query.

1. From the description, this seems to be a mucus retention cyst.

2. Dentigerous cysts are rare. They are associated with the crown of that particular tooth. Mere projection of the root of a tooth into the cyst does not relate with a dentigerous cyst.

3. Upload the CT scan images for a better assessment.

4. Dentigerous cysts need excision or marsupialisation. Mucus retention cysts need treatment only if they are larger than 50% of the height of the maxillary sinus.

I hope that I have answered your query. If you have any more questions I will be available to answer them.

Regards.

Brief Answer:
Upload CT Scan image.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for writing back.

1. Upload the CT Scan images. This will help me to end the confusion.

2. Try medical treatment first.

3. Follow the detailed instructions that I have given in my previous answers.

4. If medical treatment works, no further surgery is necessary.

5. If medical treatment fails, try RF first. DNS surgery should be done if none of the above help.

I hope that I have answered your query. If you have any more questions I will be available to answer them.

Regards.
